I will use this space to share movies I have seen that have impacted me.

Taken. The plot: Die Zeit für Rache ist gekommen. (The time for revenge has come.) Please add Liam Neeson to the list of people to not piss off. Jack Bauer is still at the top of the list, but only by a slight margin! My daughter will never travel overseas without her daddy!!!

Finally watched We Are Marshall. It was a little weird watching McConaughey play a football coach, but by the end of the movie it was believable enough. Not the best football movie I have seen, although being based on a true story always adds points. I loved the seen where the Marshall coaches were at WVU watching game film and learning their offense and a couple of players from WVU walked in and had MU on the back of their helmets in Marshall Green. Coach Bobby Bowden (who is now at Florida State) said “The colors kind of clash don’t they?” and McConaughey repsonds “First class coach, first class.”

August Rush. A great story of love, perseverance, determination and music.
I also thought The Dark Knight was great. There are some great teaching metaphors throughout this movie so don’t be surprised if this one shows up in class sometime!

Seven pounds was alright, I didn’t think it was all that great but, then again I had huge expectations for it. It was very slow, I kept waiting for something great to happen but, it never really did. It had some funny and emotional scenes but, not enough for me to really want to go see again. I judge a movie alot on it’s ending and that’s where it fell really short of fantastic for me. Please don’t let me shut it down for you, go see it for yourself and you decide. You may just find it to be nothing short of wonderful.
The Dark Knight is awesome! Ryan & I also saw Yes Man recently. Although I wouldn’t classify as one of my favs, it was funny (Jim Carrey, of course) & had some pretty good life applications as well. Have you seen Click? That movie will definitely make you think about life & what is most important. Love you big brother!
